University Achievement Award

Introduction

Universities play a major in shaping the mindset of young people in Indonesia. They are the educators and centers of learning to mould the younger generation into the leaders of tomorrow. Hence, it is vital for universities to take a central position in promoting the vision of global peace, inspire the young minds to go beyond boundaries.

Our mission is to encourage universities to take ownership to spread the culture of peace, by mobilizing university students to take action. The universities that able to mobilize thousands of young people to campaign for Power of Rupiah and participate the Global Peace Festival Asia Pacific 2010 will stand a chance to be shortlisted for the University Achievement Award for Global Peace. The award will be presented by the National Education Ministry of Indonesia at the Global Peace Festival Main Event on 17 October 2010 at Stadium Gelora Bung Karno.

Criteria of Selection

Participating Universities are required to follow these steps to be shortlisted as candidate for the Award:

1. Submit a commitment letter for participation on the Global Peace Festival Asia Pacific 2010 at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it .
2. Mobilize a mass fund raising Campaign for the Power of Rupiah among the university students.
3. Mobilize more than 500 students and university staff to participate the Global Peace Festival Asia Pacific on 17^th October 2010 at Stadium Bung Karno, Jakarta.

Universities are encouraged to work together with students leaders in mobilizing young people to participate with the campaign and main event.
